YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE

It's that feeling,
When you are losing;
But still clutching on
The railings of a wrecking boat.
Waiting. A little bit of prayer,
And expecting some luck;
A miracle to happen,
But with an empty heart.
Your eyes goes dizzy,
Hands go limp;
Still holding on to prove a point!
This time, for no one but yourself.
You can hear the distant cries,
Men and women, weak and strong,
Crying out for help, drowning
But you feel helpless
And fight your conscience.
Because you know,
The moment you let go
You sacrifice yourself for nothing,
They are beyond saving.
But you wish you could.
You know you will soon join them,
But maybe not today;
The double mind is killing you-
But you still manage to hold on.
Suddenly! you notice
That you are crying out for help too;
Petty swimming is of no help-
You are beyond saving.
Big waves drown you now and then,
You managed to float this long;
Eyes paining, filled with salt-
Surviving! That's a distant dream.
And suddenly you sit up,
All sweaty and afraid;
Drink a lot of water, and wonder
What a pity, you never really lived your life.

Wait No More O Princess

Never mind, o lover-
O the one who waits;
The ferry is half way through-
Even the boatman needs to rest.
She waits for a prince,
Who would sail across;
A storm is razing-
And the end is always too far.

So many did try,
None were so worthy;
Or is it not about a Prince-
Its about her being finicky.

She is aware of the one,
The true worthy;
But her lust for a better one-
Is what kept her aloof.

Someday, he will be tired,
Tired of waiting for so long;
He will fly away with the West Wind-
And he won't even look back,
 not even once.

There will be a new beginning,
But not for the Princess;
She will be sitting, waiting-
Waiting for someone.

When she would miss him,
He will be long gone;
When her heart will melt-
His will have place for none.

She will weep for him,
And he will make merry;
She will bear the burden of life-
But he will live happily ever after.

MY   DEAR
I remember that day,
The day after the board exam's end.
Till then I never knew,
That within an hour we are going to be very good friends.

When you first smiled at me,
It made my day.
When you first mocked me,
It is a feeling I am unable to say.

Your heart is pure,
But you are pretty naughty.
And I am pretty sure,
You are an art of beauty.

You are caring,
You are sharing;
You are daring,
And that's why you are never boring.

Never cheat me,
I really owe you a lot.
Dear you are born free-
And your picture in my heart is forever caught.

Déjà vu or reality

When I first saw her,
She was smiling
Under the tree
In the shaded yellow street light.
Her face was camouflaged,
Her beauty was shadowed;
Her hair flowed down her shoulder-
Her eyes made me wonder.
I wondered till I next met her,
Was she real or my imagination.
A déjà vu of my dreams-
Or was she my invention.
But all of it was real,
As was she.
But I was in my dreams,
And I never made my plea.
I dared the world,
So did she;
I did like her,
But her, I could never infer.
Regularly did we meet,
Memories were made;
I lived in my dreams-
And she still lived in shade.
People tried to buy her,
I tried to borrow;
They used money and
I used sorrow.
In the end,
Everybody wants the same.
It is my mistake,
I didn't clear my stake.
My intentions are pure,
So is hers;
Purity rarely wins-
Good and evil are twins.
I could never approach,
Never will she;
Fear of losing her
Puts me in a back gear.
She did influence me,
So did a lot many;
But this time it was for real-
But who did ever know.
Pats in the back,
Splashes of water;
Quite a quarrel-
A bike ride and a flower.
"Do you trust me?"
And the dinner is served;
Half of this and half of that-
And I am always glad.
Frequent long walks,
Once a while an outing;
A messy day or two-
A lot of meaningless shouting.
Days passed by,
Months did follow;
No one did notice-
The true sacrifice.
Love or hate,
Nothing's on my fate;
Truth or lie-
Feelings never die.
What dies is the friendship,
What lives is ego;
If we ever fall in love,
I promise I will never let you go.

I won't stop

Tons of messages.
No reply.
Tensed.
Avoided.
Dusty streets,
Blazing sun;
Sweaty palms-
Dreams lost.
Angry?
But sad.
Obsession,
Redemption.

All at once,
No one to care;
No one to applaud-
The winner lonely,
Solely responsible
For what?
God knows,
Is he real?
Doubts circling,
Grief- Albatross.
Matter- micro,
Reaction- heavenly.

Change! Change!
O mighty warrior.
Changed?
For what?
Confused soul-
Not mine.
Rise and Shine-
O Divine!
Hate me not,
Nor do forget.
One last chance-
Life is one--
            I won't stop.
BSOD

I saw her,
The blue screen of death.
Fair skin,
Scarred face.
Not the usual scars-
Hard to understand.
Empty look-
Searching for purpose.
My heart rebooted,
Though it is preoccupied-
A surge of current,
But for a short while.
Face is forgotten,
So is she;
But all I remember is
She was the BSOD.

Time, is it?

A window,
Sitting alone;
What is real?
What is fake?
Is it only 'for sake'?
Or is it just a dream.
Am I the only deserted?
Everything is colorful.
I am black.
Surrounding dark.
No silver lining.
Heaven's hell.
Truths are lies.
Good is evil.
Words are sarcastic.
Crush is crushed.
Cursed is the time.
Universe is smoky.
Abandoned is the soul.
Abstract is the moment.
Thoughts are impregnable.
A piece of laughter.
Kind hearts, broken.
Solemn oaths smashed.
Friends on the brink.
Were they really?
Or was I asleep?
Time, is it?
Change is must.
Mistakes- unforgivable.
Unnoticed is the reality.
Unannounced is trust.
Unforgettable memories.
Unforgivable aesthetics.
What to do?
Just enjoy the show.
A tragedy.
Unwanted despise.
Silly! Silly! Silly!
Moments pass by.
So do I.
So do I.
